Nebido solution for infection. 250mg/ml fl. 4 ml No. 1

Solution is applied to injections of Nebido as replacement therapy by hypogonadism testosterone at men in the conditions of confirmation of deficiency of testosterone clinically and results of laboratory researches.

Structure

Active ingredient - testosterone undekanoat (1 bottle contains 1000 mg of testosterone of the undekanoat in 4 ml of solution for injections (250 mg of testosterone undekanoata/ml that corresponds to 157.9 mg of testosterone)).

Excipients: benzyl benzoate, the castor oil refined.

Contraindication

• an androgenzavisimy carcinoma of a prostate or cancer of chest gland at men;
• a tumor of a liver now or in the anamnesis;
• hypersensitivity to active ingredient or to any auxiliary component of drug;
• a hypercalcemia which accompanies malignant tumors;

Injection of the medicament "Nebido" (1 bottle contains 1000 mg of testosterone of the undekanoat) to carry out by

1 time in 10-14 weeks. With such frequency of injections the maintenance of sufficient level of testosterone is provided and there is no medicament cumulation.

Initiation of treatment

Before an initiation of treatment testosterone level in blood serum. Depending on concentration in blood serum of testosterone and the available clinical symptoms the interval between the first injections can be shorter, than the recommended 10-14 weeks at maintenance therapy and to make not less than 6 weeks. Equilibrium concentration at such shock dose is reached quickly.

Individual correction of treatment

needs to be observed recommended an interval between injections that makes from 10 to 14 weeks. During maintenance therapy it is necessary to carry out careful monitoring of serumal level of testosterone. At the end of an interval between injections it is regularly recommended to measure the level of content of testosterone in blood serum, considering also clinical symptoms. Values of concentration of testosterone in blood serum have to be in limits of the lower third of norm. If this level is lower than norm, it can testify to need of reduction of an interval between injections. At high concentrations it is necessary to consider a question of expediency of extension of this interval.

Way of use

intramusculary. It is necessary to inject very slowly (within 2 minutes). Drug is intended only for intramuscular injections. It is necessary to watch that the medicament "Nebido" was administered deeply in buttock muscles with observance of rules of implementation of injections carefully. At the same time it is necessary to avoid intravascular injections. Intramuscular injections need to be carried out right after opening of a bottle.

Feature of use

Children

Nebido it is not shown for use for children. There are no clinically significant data on use to children (aged up to 18 years).

Drivers

Drug "Nebido" does not affect ability to operate the vehicles or to work with other mechanisms.

Overdose

in case of overdose special therapy. Therapy interruption by medicament or reduction of a dose can be required.

Side effects

Most frequent undesirable effects arising at use of the medicament "Nebido" are an acne and pain in the place of an injection.
