Structure:

as active ingredient: firokoksib - 24% (depending on a dosage according to 57 mg and 227 mg in a tablet), excipients: lactose monohydrate - 49.3%, microcrystalline cellulose of-15%, hydroxypropyl cellulose - 3.0%, a kroskaramelloza - 2.8%, colloidal dioxide of silicon - 0.5%, flavoring and aromatic substances (fragrance with taste of smoked meat "Chartor Hickory smoke flavor" and caramel) - 5%, pigments - yellow and red oxides of iron - 0.4%.

On appearance medicine also an engraving "The m and a dosage" represents tablets of brown color, rounded shape, convex, on one party of a tablet of risk.

Pharmacological properties:

Previkoks of a tablet of 57 mg and 227 mg treat to group of nonsteroid anti-inflammatory medicines.
Firokoksib which is a part of medicine is selective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2 (SOH-2), selectively breaks formation of prostaglandins participating in formation of inflammatory reaction, suppresses exudative and proliferative phases of inflammation.
Works mainly in the center of inflammation and practically does not influence products of prostaglandins regulating a kidney blood-groove and integrity of a mucous membrane of digestive tract.
Has soothing, anti-inflammatory and febrifugal effect. After oral introduction to dogs in the recommended dose firokoksib quickly it is soaked up, the maximum concentration in blood is reached in 1.25 hours.
Elimination half-life makes 8 hours. The Firokoksib almost completely contacts proteins of blood, is metabolized in a liver, removed with bile through intestines.

Order of application and dosage:

Previkoks of a tablet of 57 mg and 227 mg are appointed to dogs as anti-inflammatory, soothing and febrifuge at treatment of osteoarthroses and also after orthopedic, dental operations and operations on soft fabrics.
Contraindication to application is the increased individual sensitivity of an animal to medicine components (including in the anamnesis).
forbidden to apply medicine to the pregnant and lactating females, puppies to 10 weeks age and to dogs weighing less than 3 kg and also animals with gastrointestinal bleedings, blood diseases, at a hemorrhagic syndrome and a severe form of a renal and liver failure.
Previkoks of a tablet of 57 mg and 227 mg apply to dogs individually orally once a day in a dose 5 mg of a firokoksib on 1 kg of mass of an animal.
Previkoks of a tablet of 57 mg and 227 mg have attractive aroma and taste therefore are willingly eaten by dogs, in case of refusal from medicine feed it with a forage. Duration of a course of treatment at osteoarthroses depends on a condition of an animal and is defined by the treating veterinarian.
Use of medicine should be carried out more than 90 days under regular control of the veterinarian. To simplification of postoperative pains and inflammation at operations on soft fabrics, orthopedic and dental operations medicine is applied in 2 hours prior to operation, and then as necessary 1 time a day within 2-3 days.
At overdose of medicine at an animal can be observed excess salivation, disorder of digestive tract, depression. Features of action at the first use of medicine and at its cancellation are not revealed.
It is necessary to avoid violations of the scheme of use of medicine as it can lead to decrease in its efficiency. At the admission of the next dose of medicine its application needs to be resumed in the provided dosage and according to the same scheme.
At use of medicine according to the present instruction of by-effects and complications at animals, as a rule, is not observed.
Previkoks of a tablet of 57 mg and 227 mg should not be applied along with other nonsteroid resolvents and glucocorticosteroids.
