Brimonal cap. eye. 0.2% fl. 10 ml

Drops eye Brimonal are shown:

• at an open angle glaucoma or the increased intraocular pressure (VGD).
• at monotherapy at patients to whom application of local beta-blockers is contraindicated.
• as a part of complex therapy with other medicines for decrease in VGD when monotherapy does not yield desirable result.

Structure

Active ingredient: 1 ml of a brimonidin of tartrate - 2 mg;

1 ml;

Excipients: sodium chloride, tartaric acid, sodium tartrate, a gipromelloza, a benzalkoniya chloride, sodium hydroxide, water for injections.

Contraindication

• Hypersensitivity to active ingredient or other components of medicine.
• Simultaneous application with MAO inhibitors and antidepressants, influencing noradrenergichesky transfer (for example tricyclic and tetracyclic antidepressants, mianserin).
• Children's age (up to 18 years).

As well as at application of any eye drops, it is recommended to press for one minute the site of a dacryocyst in an internal corner of an eye for decrease in system absorption. Brimonidin can cause dizziness, drowsiness, a disorder of vision that can affect ability to steer vehicles and mechanisms. It is possible to start such activity not earlier than in 15 min. after application of drops, the sight does not clear up yet.

Overdose

At oral overdose of others alpha 2 - agonists it was reported about cases of emergence of such symptoms: arterial hypotension, adynamy, vomiting, lethargy, sedation, bradycardia, arrhythmia, miosis, apnoea, hypothermia, oppression of function of breath and spasm.
