• Main active components defining biological effects of a passionflower of the inkarnat are alkaloids (harmin, harmaline, garmolol) which inhibit enzyme monoamine oxidase, causing increase in content of serotonin, noradrenaline and dopamine in a synaptic gap and improvement of transport of mediators between the terminations of neurons.
