iFi iEMatch Adapter

iEMatch is an adapter that, when connecting headphones to an amplifier, player, or smartphone, reduces the noise level and eliminates from interference. It also solves the problem of matching with the sound source by lowering or raising the output impedance of the amplifier section. This is especially useful in the case of sensitive in-ear headphones. It is possible to work in normal and balanced mode.

The device reduces noise and hiss that can be heard in the background of music, improves dynamic range and optimizes playback volume. iEMatch can work with headphones with a resistance of 16 ohms. It has two output impedance levels: over 2.5 ohms in high sensitivity mode (adds 12 dB to dynamic range) and over 1 ohm in ultra sensitivity mode (adds 24 dB). Modes can be selected using a switch on the body.

The connecting wire is made of 6N copper with silver, the body is made of aluminum-magnesium alloy. The connectors and board are gold-plated, and the 3.5 mm plug is mixed balanced and unbalanced, created using TRRS-Balanced technology. Modes are switched using a slider on the bend of the connector. In unbalanced mode it works with headphones with a microphone.

In addition to the device itself, the kit includes a travel pouch, an adapter for aircraft audio systems and foam tips with a noise reduction level of -37 dB.
